I always enjoy coming to this site because you offer great tips and advice for people like me who can always use a few good pointers. I will be getting my friends to pop around fairly soon....

Glad to hear this is not totally unheard of! I work in a Sp'Ed class and I was taking kids to restroom when I suddenly felt something which I first thought had hit my nose...one never knows what might hit your nose (or anything else) in the r/r with one of our little ones!! I put my hand to my nose and it was something orange. I thought perhaps some of one's saliva from the spaghetti lunch. (Yuck!) But, then it started pouring from my left nostril. I had a sinus infection a couple of weeks ago and had to sleep with a towel on my pillow because of my sinuses draining, but that was clear...not orange. I was told to sit with my head tilted back and pinch the bridge of my nose, but then it went down my throat! Nasty! I sat up and tilted my head looking downward and it poured for about 5-7 min. Then it started again when I got up moving around. So, I repeated the head tilting and added gentle blowing until it stopped. Needless to say, I was really weirded out about this! I haven't had a nosebleed since I was a youngster, and they were always bright red. I called my doctor's office and the receptionist said she'd never heard of it, and offered to make me an appointment, but it had stopped, so I didn't. I had not eaten spaghetti yet, orange jello, koolaid, etc. I just thought I'd check the internet and see if this weird thing had ever happened to anyone else out there. I'll be watching for comments. Thanks. :)

Same thing here. I blew tons of orange snot out today. I had what I'm pretty sure is a sinus infection over the last few days, so i'm guessing thats it.

I just started having the same issue today, but I haven't been feeling well for the last couple of days. The lymph nodes in my throat are so swollen that I can feel them when I turn my head, and my throat and ears are hurting a little too. I'm guessing it's a really bad sinus infection. I'll be heading to the doctor tomorrow hopefully. I'll try to post on here again with a possible answer if I can see the doc!

It always amazes me how helpful and caring EMS rescue workers are. Kudos to the Lynchburg Fire Department. I convinced, my next phone will be GPS enabled.

Mike, I hope you're doing well.
