He’ll be riding a bike in no time!

Conner is so close to walking… I think he’ll have it down pat by his 1 year birthday in a couple weeks. So I’m thinking… about six months till he’ll be hitting the trails with me right?

But seriously, I’m interested in how I’ll go about teaching him to ride a bike. As most people, I learned with training wheels and then falling a lot, however I’ve seen some more intriguing ideas out there. Like this one for instance…

PV Glider

I’ve seen different versions of this and the idea is always the same. It allows kids to use their feet but then pull them up to practice balance (and go faster). So with this method they are actually learning balance (unlike training wheels which just basically teach you to pedal) and they won’t have far to fall when it does happen.

I know I have plenty of time to figure it out, but I just want to be prepared!

Good dad! (I know somebody who makes road bikes, when you’re ready.)

Knowing our child, he’ll want to fall over just b/c he thinks it’s fun.

I know you’re excited to teach him all about the sport you love, and I really do hope he loves it as much as you.
