Crooked Cog to take over the world in 2007
Tim Jackson keeps calling me the Rubert Murdoch of the cycling world, so now I have something to live up to and there’s definitely a lot going on this coming year for Crooked Cog.
First up, there will be two more sites added to the network. The first will be a women’s specific MTB site and none other than Jessi Pacetti, the Bitch Kittie, will be heading it up. The second site is still in the works and I can’t reveal the topic yet, but it’ll be a lot of fun for a lot of riders.
I’m also recruiting some more writers. This thing is getting way to big for just me and a couple others to try and handle, so I’m getting some people on board that are very passionate about the topics they’ll be covering.
We are throwing our own event. The 2007 Big Wheeled Ballyhoo will be hosted by TwentyNineInches.com (i.e. me and Guitar Ted) and it’s gonna be a two day event for people to ride and try 29ers. We already have Gary Fisher, Salsa and Raleigh on board for the event. It’s gonna be a crazy time!
The last three years I’ve only been able to attend one event… Interbike. Well that’s gonna change this year. I’ve already gone to the Punk Bike Enduro, but I’m also planning visits to the Sea Otter Classic, Trans Iowa, North American Hand Made Bicycle Show and, of course, the Big Wheeled Ballyhoo. Not all are in stone, but that’s the plans so far.
Last thing I’ll mention here… a book is in the works. I’ve already got some key players on board and work will begin first thing in January. More to come on that.
So that’s the plans so far. I’m sure way more than that will happen and I can’t wait to see it.

Kickass my friend. I’m very excited for you. Hopefully one day you’ll be really rich and powerful and I can bum a couple bucks off you…
