Mr. 24 has gotten a job with the Germany based company, Ergon. I knew about this months ago (I’m so part of the ‘in’ crowd) and can finally say a public congrats to landing what sounds like an awesome gig.

Now let me use this as a soapbox… my guess is he would have never gotten this chance if it wasn’t for his blog. He would be just like all the other racers out there, doing a lot of training and racing but ignoring the part where they market themselves. Just because you are good doesn’t mean companies will start throwing their money at you.

Jeff has given a ton of value to his sponsors the last few years by building up his blog readership. Instead of the handful of spectators at each race, he is putting his sponsors in front of his thousands of readers. That’s real value to them!

So anyway, congrats again to Jeff for landing this job with Ergon. You deserve it!
